Cancun~ I

One of the highlights of last month was that Micah
and I were able to go to Cancun again.
This trip was totally different from our previous visits.
We met a missionary last year who was visiting our
church and lived in Cancun with his family.
Because we had been there a few times we were
curious about the ministry.
Taking that trip gave us a whole new view of Cancun.
The hidden and ugly parts that the average American
tourist does not see when they visit the area.
These shacks are what house all of the Mexican
people who work at the resorts, parking cars, serving
drinks, cleaning the rooms, etc.
It seems like it would be so hard for them seeing so
much luxury all day long, then going home to these houses.
This house below was for Heidi and Hallie's benefit.
I was sure they would want to see the pink house. :)
The house below is actually being lived in by people.
This sweet lady that we met below was outside hand
washing her laundry when we drove up.
Her and her husband attend one of the many churches
that Pastor Alfonzo and his family started.
Below is another family that doesn't have a house.
They have been staying in the church, their
children sleep on the wood pews.
