Evacuating~

This little birdy kept hanging around us hoping
Hallie would drop some of her goldfish snacks.
I'm glad someone was cleaning them up.
We enjoyed the pools around the condos.
Heidi was so excited that there was
a pool that she could stand up in.
She wanted me to take a picture of her
standing up in the pool.
Soaking up the sun!
While we were enjoying all three pools to ourselves
we were watching the people working there
packing up the patio furniture and bringing all
the pool chairs inside.
Although the solitude was nice we decided that
since we seemed to be the only people in the
whole area that weren't there packing up boats,
furniture or boarding up a store or hotel to evacuate
maybe we better head home.
The people working there were wanting to evacuate
and the owner of our condo called and asked us
when we were leaving so he could come down and
put all his furniture up on cinder blocks in case of flooding.
So we arrived Tuesday evening and
left by Wednesday afternoon.
Where did Hallie Kate go?
She liked trying to stand up on the edge of the pool.
She was mainly holding herself up with her hands.
On the way home we were all pretty bummed out
so we decided to take the girls to the Aquarium.
They really enjoyed seeing all
the different kinds of fish.
Eewww!
Yuck!
Aaawww!
Although the sign said don't put your hand in the water
or they will bite you, so  they aren't as sweet as they look.
Petting a baby alligator. Heidi kept telling Hallie to
touch it first which Hallie walked right up and did.
Heidi wasn't very interested until she saw me touching it. :)
This was some kind of ant eater thing
that Heidi volunteered to help feed.
Making a new friend.
Heidi loved the dolphins.
Hallie Kate and Micah looking for the dolphins.

aw...great pictures!
I was wondering about the hurricanes if it hit y'all at some point. I'm sure it was a bummer. Totally agree with you on the beach thing...we are spoiled with the Fl. beaches!
